How to Prepare for Your Consultation
1. Daily Footwear
Bring your daily work shoes, athletic runners, and any footwear you spend prolonged hours in. Dr. Arvind inspects tread wear patterns to diagnose gait mechanics.
2. Comfortable Attire
Wear loose pants or athletic shorts so knee tracking, calf tension, and lower-limb biomechanics can be examined during physical and gait assessments.
3. Medical Imaging
Bring previous X-rays, ultrasound reports, MRI scans, or GP medical referral paperwork (Medicare EPC / CDM or DVA cards if applicable).
4. On-Site Rebates
Bring your physical or digital Private Health Insurance card for instant HICAPS electronic claiming. You only pay the out-of-pocket gap on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions About Appointments
Do I need a doctor's referral to book an appointment?
No referral is required for private patients. You can book directly online anytime. If you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) / Chronic Disease Management (CDM) referral from your GP, or a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) D904 referral, please bring it with you to access your Medicare or DVA subsidies.
How long will my initial consultation take?
Initial biomechanical, heel pain, and orthotic assessments take approximately 40 to 45 minutes. This allows Dr. Arvind ample time to conduct physical palpation, muscle testing, slow-motion video gait analysis, and establish your personalized care plan. General nail and skin appointments typically take 30 minutes.
Can I claim my Private Health Fund on the day?
Yes. Both of our clinical facilities are equipped with on-site HICAPS electronic terminals. We process claims directly with Medibank, Bupa, HBF, HCF, NIB, and all major Australian health funds on the spot, so you only pay the gap amount.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your consultation. This allows us to offer the allocated clinical chair time to another patient in urgent discomfort. You can reschedule easily using your confirmation link or by calling reception on (08) 6255 8666.
